Competitor Analysis

After looking at comparible competitors, it was determined that most of the competitors were not user friendly for beginner wine consumers. Even though the competitors offered wine pairing suggestions, they lacked the educational aspect for the novice consumer. This reinforced the importance of creating a simple yet effective wine pairing app that is also educational.

Wish List - Priority Matrix

Feature Prioritization Matrix

After ideating on possible solutions, a priority matrix was created to narrow in on the best solutions for today, and possible solutions for tomorrow.

Best Idea Now

Offering top 3 wine recommendations by food category.

Best Future Idea

Suggesting the best places to buy the wine.

User Flow

Learning from the user interviews, it was important to create a user-friendly flow chart that is easy to navigate. To begin, the user will select a food from the food category, and then choose the type of food preparation. To not overwhelm the user with too many options, 3 suggested wines are listed to pair with their selected food. To make the app an educational tool for the users, they have the option to learn more about their selected wine.
